"Kerabu Tomato" a photo by Elly Salleh
"In blogging, pictures were something important factor to attract visitor." My non-professional advice to my beloved Elly (the blogger for Elly's Kitchen.)

I give her a few tips of shooting for her blog, by hoping that she will be making her own creative pictures in the future.

  2. Lens : ( AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED)
  3. Tripod : (Manfrotto Monopod 680B)
  4. Headbold : (Manfrotto 488RC)

  6. Reflector
Setting for her shot :-
  1. Mode : All in manual mode
  2. ISO : ISO 100 (L.1)
  3. Focal Length : 60 mm (Macro)

  5. Aperture : f/3.2
  6. Shutter Speed : 1/15 - 1/20

Personal Feel of shooting:-
  1. Keep on observing subject (the foods).
  2. Follow the feel of creative, lets the food tell you how to photograph it.
  3. Get any shot you have in mind.
  4. Go to detail and feel the frame of your subject.
  5. Take allots of shot that you want. (It a digital camera rite!!!!!)
Have fun and happy shooting!!!!!!!

p/s : she cooked and shoot, while we just love to eat it….. yummy…. (personally, the decoration was my creativity) E'KiM & E'ZiQ keep on burping after eating. Aina totally love it. Ariyana say nothing...

What's Always In My Kit Bag?

Coincidentally, a question "pop-up" out from my HSB mate ( a newbie in photography ), about my bag?
"Apa dalam beg, bos tu? Besar giler la. Ada apa dalam tu, yerk? Macam nak gi perang jerk, bos? Ada Pistol tak ke M-16 atau AK-47." Than, he laugh & smile.
"Yeap!!!! My equiptment of war....." I replied and smiled.
What in the bag, actually?

Here those were in my bag. Have fun. To En. Fadzli have some fun with your new gears and gadgets, and WELCOME to the club.

Thanks for the question.... En Fadzli & En Hafiz.

p/s : "A bag for a hunter!" Che Noorsuria said. "A bag for a haunted grapher" I replied.

Home Sweet Home.

My Combination of Gears (My Favorite)

Somebody drop me an e-mail asking about "What is/are my favorite gears and gadgets for photography?" (The same question that being asked by one participant last year during my photography talk, invited by a company for a government courses.)

Professionally, every photographer has their own favorite gadgets and gear for shooting. Whereas for me :-
  1. Body : Nikon D3s
  2. Lens : Lensbaby Composer
  3. Optic : Double Glass Optic
  4. Remote : Remote Cord MC-36
  5. Tripod & Ball Head : Manfrotto

Why? Why? Why?
  1. Nikon D3s : ISO and fps Factors
  2. Lensbaby Composer & Double Glass Optic : the most creative outcome. (Less Photoshop editing job.)
  3. Remote Cord MC-36 : I am not professional and so good in photography, I need these to avoid shaking or blur on my caption.
  4. Tripod & Ball Head : Yeap.... the answer is still the same as reason no 3.
Actually, the brand is up to you.....

Personally, different event I will come with a different combination of gears and gadgets. Such as :-
  • Nikon D90 plus 17-55mm f/2.8 or 60mm f/2.8
  • Nikon D3s plus 70-200mm f/2.8 or Lensbaby kit
But, like I say before... the combination is up to you.
